Message	rebuild from flywheel to where the rubber meets the road. Replaced new or rebuilt everything, including a new 98+ OEM trans. After all that, there is still a back and forth freeplay, and it seems to come from within the transmission. I believe it is the backlash between the mainshaft and its gearsets. It is worst in third gear off throttle deceleration. You can actually feel the motion transmitted through the gearshift knob. _________________________________________________
